We have <600v switchgear main breaker rating is outside the 70e tables. There has not been any arc flash study done on any of the switchgear. IS there anything we can do as far as opening or closing the breakers [ main or feeders ] in this switchgear. |

Have you considered remote operators? |

yes we did consider that option. n.g. I was wanting to know if there is any interaction as far as opening or closing of the cb aloud by 70e or is nothing aloud because of the cb being outside the foot notes. 480v swichgear |

The tables don't list a maximum main breaker size, only a maximum fault current of 35kaic for 30 cycles. If you exceed that, then you can do an engineering analysis on just the switchgear to determine IE. But how do you know you exceed the 35Kaic if you haven't done an analysis. |
