"A practical approach to NFPA 70E" by John Klingler is good, if you are interested, provide your email address so that I can send you a copy.

I dont recommend "off the shelf" training for arc flash at all, you need a good specialist list John B (Forum member, hi John) or Hugh Hougland http://www.e-hazard.com

I did 70E training for 14 years for large industrial (Steel mills, automotive plants, etc.) and recently retired, I did a ton of training AFTER some other training companies did some horrible course with bad information and instructors with minimal understanding of the topic, or worse yet, did an off the shelf course. I never had to go retrain plants that John or Hugh trained so those are the only 2 I now recommend to my former clients and current customers who ask me about training now.

But if you insist on an off the shelf PPT, use Bussmann. http://www.cooperbussmannstore.com/c-10-safety-basics-training-materials.aspx

Too many trainers seem to just recite a script and if you ask them an off the wall question outside their script, they don't know or bluff their way through it. I just went to a class last month with Jim Phillips / brainfiller and he stunned us all with inside info, testing, background on testing and standards and answered some questions that I was previously not able to get answered. Pretty amazing and obviously not from a canned script.

So few people ask for a resume or qualifications of the instructor, many training companies are just that, they train on many varied topis and have no system or subject matter experts. Ask for references, not just companies, names of contacts and follow up on them.

We brought in an excellent trainer out of Bellingham, WA named Ray Crow who had an incredible amount of first hand knowledge of actual events as well as outstanding safety training. Google "D. Ray Crow" for more information

I would just like to echo that the training from Jim Phillips was good stuff. It was a full two days, starting with the basics up to performing some calcs, and a lot of info on IEEE / NFPA developments.
Thanks, Jim!

No, go spam somewhere else, has nothing to do with your product.

Is that a book you are talking about or a download and how can I get my hands on a copy?
