Howdy,
Back again with more questions, this time on the AEGC program. The 120 volt equipment is pretty straight forward, we use GFCIs for everything in this catagory, but I can't find anything solid for 480vac equipment with cord & plug sets. We are going to inspect and test all 480vac extension cords that would be used for welders, etc. every three months, but what about 480vac production equipment that has cord & plug sets? Most of this equipment stays in position for literally years without being moved or unplugged. Do we need to inspect this equipment every six months, three months, or at all? Any input would be appreciated, thanks....
Bill

There is no time specific requirement to do inspections as you mentioned. Its really up to the company's discression to determine if and when to inspect equipment. I would start out doing it every 3 months and if nothing shows up extend it to 6 month intervals or if a piece of equipment is relocated.

Get a copy of NFPA 70b "Recommended Practices for Electrical Equipment Maintenance" and find out what OSHA will point to when something goes wrong.
