Had an arc flash last weekend at a power plant, failed racking interlock on a MV breaker, huge flash. Good part is they were using a remote racking system wireless from the other room and no one was injured. Nice to know that 1 or more life may have been spared.

Thanks Zog. It's always good to hear the good stories.
Now give us some pictures and tell us the estimated energies! :)

Cant release details yet, but i will post when I can. I can tell you it was a nasty one based on the damages that occured to the breaker and cell. It was not contained by the switchgear.
