This is for the relay and switchgear experts. I have been looking at the ABB "FT Flexitest" switches.

They allow a user to isolate a switchgear relay and then perform tests. The FT means the user can disconnect relay inputs and outputs, then test relay operation without disrupting a facility.
For example, has a "make before break" way to disconnect CTs feeding a relay and safely ground secondaries of the CTs.
Considering using the FT to remove an arc-flash relay from service, for test and adjustment.
Am I on the right track?
