I have been using ETAP v7.1 to do some arc flash studies. I have been doing the study of the "existing" system in 1 file and the "proposed" system in another file.
Is there a way to do it in the same file... where you can still go back to the "original" system and still see the values and everything for it..
It's a pain generating pdfs for a report when you keep having to open and close the files...escpeically if you have multiple sites.

We use the revisions feature to accomplish this. This feature allows you to study "as-found" and “what-if” scenarios within the same model. There are some rules you must follow, such as the overall equipment configuration must remain the same (number of busses, motors, transformers, etc.), but you can adjust setting a parameters, such as protection settings between the revisions. We roll all this together and build individual scenarios; this allows us to quickly evaluate mitigation ideas and benefits.
