What symbol are you using to depict Maintenance switches on single line, three line and schematic drawings? We are considering "69MS". Comments? Industry Standard yet? |

We use the letters "RELT" in a circle to represent the switch, connected with a dotted line to a relay. RELT = Reduced Energy Let Through |

I would think 43MS would be better. 43 is a manual transfer or selector device. Quote: A manually operated device that transfers the control circuits in order to modify the plan of operation of the switching equipment or of some of the devices. 69 is permissive control device. Quote: Generally, a two-position device that in one position permits the closing of a circuit breaker, or the placing of an equipment into operation, and in the other position prevents the circuit breaker or the equipment from being operated.
43 seems more appropriate. |

We use ZES, which I assume is something like zone electrical switch. |
