| Post subject: | Approach Boundary Clarification |
I am looking for a clarification on when the limited approach boundary and restricted boundary are to be used. It is my understanding that they only apply when working on or near live electrical parts and do not apply when the cabinet, cubicle, and/or enclosure are secured and no live parts exposed. Can anyone shed some light on this topic? |

Exact. They are part of the workers' protection from electrical shock, which need contact (or near contact) to do harm. If contact is impossible (through closed door, enclosure wall), then those limits do not apply. |
