Hi all.

I've got a project with European 15kV gear upstream that has IEC style 600A bushings for dead-break IEC style elbows. The downstream loads are mostly made-in-the-USA pad mounted transformers with standard 200A bushings for load-break elbows or stress-cone type lugged terms.

I am having a hard time finding a local supplier for the IEC elbows that will be required for the upstream gear, but I expect I can source them some way or another if need be. A couple sets of elbows will need to have lightning arrestors stacked on the back of them. I'd like all of the elbows to have capacitive test points for phasing.

IEEE/NEMA elbow kits are readily available from many suppliers.

Question - is there such a thing as an adapter to convert from the 600A IEC bushings to 600A IEEE/NEMA bushings? I spent a bit of time Googling and couldn't find any. If it does exist, I think it would be easier to find elbow kits for the 15kV, 750 kcmil and 4/0, 220mil, EPR, copper tape shielded, 133%, MV-105 copper cable I plan on using now and in the future if an elbow were to fail at some point down the road.

Thanks.

I should also add, I'm not sure how different the bushings are from one another. I have not been able to find a dimensioned drawing of the IEC bushings. The European gear manufacturer publishes a list of elbows that will work and none of them are Cooper/3M/Raychem/Richards etc.

They list Euromold (NExans)/NKT/Suedkabel/ABB-Kabeldon/Prysmian/Tyco.

I am operating under the assumption, I guess, the US vs Euro bushings are different. Well that, and someone told me they were different but I don't have any drawings to prove it. The gear isn't on site yet but the bushings at least look similar to IEEE/ANSI/NEMA bushings in photos.
