Have you ever been involved with legal action resulting from an electrical accident? This can be in a role such as a victim, representative, investigation, deposition, trial etc.
Yes No Stories are always welcome!

I worked as a forensic EE / expert witness for awhile mostly investigating fires and explosions suspected of being of electrical cause. Lots of stoves, dryers, space heaters, high resistance connections, LI batteries, plug strips, various types of other kitchen and electronic equipment and appliances, all types of vehicles and poor installer workmansip. Mostly worked for insurance companies or attorneys representing insurance companies.
Can't really give too many specifics as I'm bound by confidentiality agreements and I'm not sure what cases may still be ongoing.
Very interesting work but it required a lot of travel and had some other major negatives. That's why I left the field.
The worst cases involved fatalities and wrongful death lawsuits. Especially kids. Those were tough and I was on the back end. I worked with a lot of fireman that were fire investigators that were up close and personal with those events. Didn't want to be in their shoes on those cases.
Even had some set (arson) fires where I had to see if I could rule out electrical cause. Those were mostly insurance fraud cases but one was suspected murder to get life insurance.
