Has anyone ever done an arc flash study on a voltage transformer circuit? I can find a voltage ratio on the PT but I can't find an impedance value or a KVA rating so I have nothing to plug into my formulas. I know there must be some arc flash hazard present but can't figure out how much.

Padget, If you have a small PT....ie 750 to 1500 va for metering or control, I doubt you need to worry about it. These are high impedance units and 1.5 kVA will not cause much of an arc. Otherwise, do you have more info...voltage ratings, etc.? As well as I remember, if it is less than 125 kVA it is not an issue. Alan
