I would like everyone's opinion on the following (or maybe it is better as a Poll Question):
Typically, the utilities I have dealt with would provide only one fault current to use for arc flash hazard calcs. Lately, some have provided a minimum and maximum available fault current.
When provided with only one fault current, I would then use an infinite bus for the short circuit portion of the study, such as Equipment Overduty. Now my quandry is do I still continue that way or use only the Utility maximum fault current as provided? There are cases where equipment is not overdutied in the utility max current but is with the infinite bus.
