Post subject:  Arc Flash Calculation Question

I have a question regarding the NFPA 70E standard. I was reviewing Annex D of the 2009 70E standard and was attempting to calculate the flash protection boundary for a piece of equipment at my location. Just as a sanity check I ran through the sample calculation as shown in D.4 and validated the sample in the book which equated to 7.0ft. However, if you observe Table D.2 and look at 4th row down which has the same parameters as the sample calculation results in 9.7ft. I am trying to see if I am misunderstanding something or this is an error in the 70E.

Any feedback would be appreciated!

If memory serves me well, I think this has been noted here before, but don't remember the resolution....you might try a search of the site.
