Hello, good morning, this a exist one standar for regule the size in the arc flash labeling (for example 4" x 6", 6" x 6", etc.)

4" x 6" is common.

There is no standard size.

As Mike said, 4 inches by 6 inches is commonly used.

Hello, my plant's labels are all around 5-1/4" x 4"

I typically use 4" x 6". However, these won't fit on some of the smaller disconnects. In that case, I use a 2 1/4" x 3" label.

What really matters is that the label font is large enough to be read, and that the labels are put on the device where they are easy to see.

Hello Nerf,

as per the others the 4" x 6" is very common. However you have to remember that there is allot of us baby boomers out there in which our eyesite is challenged. Take a look at your work force and see what the average age is of the workers who would be referencing the labels and make your decision from there. I hope that this helps

I use 4"x4" with the minimum info - bigger labels may not fit on small equipment

I know this is an ancient thread but for future reference ANSI Z535.4 has a table of recommended letter heights vs viewing distance.
