Interesting. Most of us members are concerned about NFPA 70E and CSA Z462. NFPE 70E article 90.2.B.1 excludes aircraft from coverage.
Any aviation topic is of interest to me, since I fly often on commercial planes.
One thing I did not see mentioned, the AC on planes is at 400Hz, not 50/60 as used on the ground. 400 Hz makes the generating equipment smaller. Reactive losses are greater, but transmission distance is no larger than, perhaps the extremities of an A380.
