Post subject:  When did you first use NFPA 70E?

By now, everyone is well aware of NFPA 70E. However, what edition of NFPA 70E was the first one that you used?

  • 1995 or earlier
  • 2000
  • 2004
  • 2009
  • None yet. Maybe I’ll start with 2012

Only after one of my co workers getting injured in an arc flash event did I become intrested. Up until that point I didn't know it existed.

I voted 2004 but we really not begin using it until around 2007. We were among the many that kept hoping it would "go away" but sources like this website convinced us we needed to finally do something.

Still pretty confusing stuff as a few of the threads have shown with all the different opinions.

Similar situation. We got the 2004 edtion but really did not begin getting serious until around 2006.

Currently still use the NFPA 70E 2004 edtion by law.
Started to learn and use around 2007.
