Protective clothing is provided to people by various means. One method is to use a uniform/clothing service. Others may provide an allowance for employees to purchase their own while others provide the PPE directly

Here is this weeks' question.
How does your company provide protective clothing?
Uniform service
Allowance for employee purchase
Company provides directly
Something else
We don't need PPE
For things like coats and such the company provides directly so I voted that option. For shoes we can buy them ourselves and give the receipt to the manager and we get reimbursed.

The Protecting clothing is supplied by the company we are working for.
The ATPV level is very important to be known before purchasing any safety gear with regards to Electrical PPE.
depend on the voltage and nature of work the PPE is chosen, in over case safety department is consulted in choosing the wright PPE.

we use category 4 oberon us made for operation staff for the switching and racking in out the circuit breakers, maintenance team use category 2 arc flash suit as they are working on dead equipment with safe distance to live apparatus.

just to summarize ARC flash study will show exactly what category PPE you need.

Our company (a utility) supplies us with FRC 2 clothing through a contracted uniform supply company. They purchased Oberon 40 cal long coats, spats, helmets with shield and hoods with blowers for common use.
