Electric shock has been the subject of a few posts over the past decade. This one is specific and timely for this time of year as many of us get into our "Griswold Mode" with outdoor lights or "exterior illumination" as Clark W. Griswold would say. Have you ever experienced an electric shock AT HOME? (what were you doing?) Yes No |

Years ago, I turned off the switch I "knew" fed the lights in the basement; forgetting the light in question was not on the switch. I think the problem was a broken bulb in the socket. Barefoot on a concrete floor, so it hurt pretty good. Always test. |

I was cutting open a cement floor in my basement with a cord-and-plug concrete saw.....and wasn't using a GFCI. I rang the bell on being stupid |
