Post subject:  Arc Flash Forum Has Been Upgraded!
Greetings Forum Friends.

As you will no doubt notice, the forum has been upgraded and looks and feels very nice! There are a ton of new features and ways in which this site can now be useful to the community in learning about Arc Flash.

A few random features of the new site are:
  • You can now "Like" Posts by other members
  • You can post status updates on your own profile to let the community know what you have been upto...
  • You can now "Follow" other members to view their content. To do so go to their profile and click "follow"
  • You can now login to the site directly with Facebook Connect
  • There is a new Article Section, which we will be expanding in due time
  • And Lots more...
I request you to like / recommend the forum on facebook using the Facebook Like Feature on the right sidebar. Also you can click Tweet to let your twitter friends know about our Arc Flash Community.

If you face any problems using the new site, please post a reply to this thread and I will get it looked into...

Brainfiller,

It looks good, but it is god awful slow even on a high speed connection. You wait and wait after clicking, then begin reading only to have the text move away as other parts of the screen continue to load. Please either find a way to speed it up or go back to the old format. This one is unusable.

Thanks for the heads up. Our web guru is still tweaking the new site today so hopefully this will be resolved soon.

How do we know which messages are new? The old format made it easy, and this one shows ALOT that I haven't read, yet I know I have...

It's still easy. At the top, below the navigation bar, there is the link which says "Mark Forums Read". If you click on it, all posts will be marked as read for you. From then onwards, you can click on "What's New" and it will show all the posts that are new.
