Hi,
We have an specific situation. We want to determine delta T (of the insulation) of a cable when an arc occurs, for that we are considering to use IEEE formulas. Is this correct?
So we have an insulation of 10mm (working distance) 3kV cable 20 seconds to trip 3kA Ibf and we considered VCBB.
Do you think is a good approach to calculate incident energy? To know if insulation will be enough for this delta T. If not what would be a good aproach to calculate arc flash energy incident?
