How do reduced voltage soft starters effect short circuit currents? How are these even modeled in SKM (software I am using)?
Thanks in advance!

I don't use SKM but I was advised to model the soft starts as across the line starters. The reason is that once the motor comes up to speed, typically a contactor closes bypasses the "soft start." It then operates as a typical starter.
