for arc flash analysis(3 phases), i upload as arcing short circuit current,

this formula is just for 3 phase or can we use that for single phase equipment as well? if it is applicable then, we need to use single phase current instead of 3 phase current, right? and for system voltage, we need to use phase to ground voltage, right? how about the conductor gap for single phase equipment? and how about the distance factor(D) and distance exponent (x) for single phase equipment?

The formula is from IEEE 1584 and is valid only for 3Ø.

so how do we calculate the PPE, incident energy and arc flash current for single phase?

i though instead of using 3phase bolted current, i would use single phase current in the formula to calculate single phase arc current and instead of using line to line voltage, i would use line to ground voltage for single phase.

i am not sure that would be ok?

any formula avaliable for single phase arc flash?
