Hi everyone, I am new to this site.I think it looks pretty interesting. I have been a PILC cablesplicer for Memphis Light,Gas & Water for 15 yrs. Just got promoted to a position as a Safety Training Specialist for the company. I am looking for useful information to use while conducting monthly safety meetings to the departments the I am overseeing, especially regarding blast/arc suppression blanket videos. This is just a subject that I kinda chose to persue. Thanks Mark |

Pilc In the county we work(shelby co.) especially in our downtown network system, PILC is still the mainstay cable we use on a daily basis, it used to be the mainstay cable used in our outlying "getaway" cables from the substations ,until it went to overhead ,but, over the past 8-10 yrs the company has started using 750 cu. kcm and 1000 kcm cu. epr cable. The brands that we mainly use or Okonite and Kerite cable made to our company specs. I do not for see anytime in the future of us replacing our PILC .There is just to much cable in the ground,to many network transformers, and to many circuits. thanks Mark |
