I am pushing to change our policy at company about what meters we can use. Right now we allow CAT3 and CAT4 meters up to 600v. I am pushing to change to 1000v meters to be used due to the fact that I worked in distribution and have seen the 480v straight power or corner ground systems wired incorrectly and it produced over 750v to a pump panel. Now if I had a 600v meter while doing this test, BOOM!!! I have been looking for some kind of documentation stating such change but I am coming up empty handed. If anyone has any suggestions I would appreciate it, Thanks
