Does a mobile generator (400kva) require a short-circuit current/incident energy assessment. If it does what reference or standard require a decal or study to be performed. I am caught in the middle between a customer and manufacture. I have to prove what standard require an assessment to be performed doesn't matter if the generator is used in a temporary or permanent installation. Please help!! |

There is no US code requiring Arc Flash Incident Energy labeling. NFPA70E is the typical standard required to comply with customer contractual language as well as for governing agencies, like OSHA. So the answer is: What does your contract with the customer say. |
