A new standard Z463 is available for the maintenance of electrical system. Anyone has reviewered the standards and how much it impacts arc flash study from Z462?

It doesn't impact your engineering incident energy analysis study at all. I am on the CSA Z463 Technical Committee. CSA Z463 will emphasize the need for some form of electrical equipment maintenance to be completed in an effort to manage the accuracy of the calculations performed. This would be applicable to protection and coordination as well. People need to realize that this whole thing is not about "arc flash." Electrical shock is the higher risk of exposure to all workers on a worksite. The probability of an arcing fault and and an arc flash occurring was and is low. Do you have an Electrical Safety Program in place?
