This seems obvious. The 2017 Edition of the National Electrical Code has been out for over a year. Yet, many states or jurisdictions do not adopt the current edition right away. Some are always one edition back, i.e. 2014 Edition.
Here is this week’s question.

Which Edition of the NEC has your state or jurisdiction currently adopted?
2017
2014
2011
Not sure
Not in US - doesn't apply

In California, we use California Code of Regulation Title 24, Part 3: California Electrical Code 2016. This State code is based on NEC 2014. So we are currently using NEC 2014. NEC 2017 may be effective in California on January 1st 2020.
NEC adoption by State can be seen here:

As far as I know, my country does not have one valuable national electrical code

2017 except:

When I purchased a new manufactured home a few years back, I was surprised to learn that HUD was in charge of manufactured homes and that HUD had adopted the 1997 NEC. All the work NFPA has done since in this area was futile, since it was never adopted.
