I am curious if anyone utilizes the SKM Unbalanced/Single Phase Module? I have several instances with single phase loads and evaluating adding this module to our current license. I am wondering if anyone could share their opinions/experiences regarding this module?

Yes, we use the Unbalanced/Single Phase SKM module. It works really well. However, if you are trying to calculate the AF energy for a single phase system less than 15 kV then you will be out of luck. The SKM AF module uses IEEE-1584 which will calculate AF energy only for a 3 phase balanced system. For open air equipment, you can use ArcPro.

You can use unbalanced/single phase to calculate AFIE results. It is an option in the Standard and Unit tab in the Arc Flash - Study Options. You must be logged into DAPPER, Arc Flash, and Unbalanced single phase to do so.

However, what it really appears to do is take one of the phase currents and uses it as a 3 phase bolted fault as a starting point to calculate AFIE. It also states per note *N24 that it is a non-3-phase bus.
