Hi all,

I am looking for a paper that has been cited in some IEEE journal articles, but I cannot seem to find it on IEEE Xplorer.

Here is the reference:

R. Wilkins, “Simple Improved Equations for Arc Flash
Hazard Analysis,” posted by Mike Lang on August 30,
2004 to the IEEE Electrical Safety Forum,
https://www.ieeecommunities.prg/ieee.esafety.

The link appears to be wrong. I have searched the Electrical Safety Forum on IEEE's website, but could not find it anywhere. It was cited in this paper.

I would appreciate it if someone can tell me where I can get a copy of it.

Thanks.

I found this paper:

Calculating hazards
Wilkins, R. ; Allison, M. ; Lang, M. ;

This paper appears in: Industry Applications Magazine, IEEE
Issue Date : May-June 2005
Volume : 11 , Issue:3
On page(s): 40
ISSN : 1077-2618
INSPEC Accession Number: 8403858
Digital Object Identifier : 10.1109/MIA.2005.1423901
Date of Current Version : 25 April 2005
Sponsored by : IEEE Industry Applications Society

Abstract
This article presents an improved method that uses time-domain analysis to calculate arc-flash hazards. The time-domain analysis allows current limitation by fuses and other effects to be studied. The ordinary differential equations for the three-phase circuit and any current-limiting fuses are solved by fourth-order Runge Kutta integration with automatic control of the time step.

Thanks, but that paper presents a time domain analysis method to determine the arcing current. The one I am looking for has a simpler, though iterative, method to find the arcing current.

The reason for the interest is because this method is based on both theory of arcs and empirical data. One can supposedly calculate the incident energy more accurately using the method defined in the paper.
