Un estudio determina el tama\u00f1o y la ubicaci\u00f3n de los condensadores, as\u00ed como la cantidad de pasos y tama\u00f1os incrementales que se deben cambiar. Un estudio tambi\u00e9n proporciona un an\u00e1lisis econ\u00f3mico de la instalaci\u00f3n propuesta en funci\u00f3n de la reducci\u00f3n prevista en las facturas de la empresa de servicios p\u00fablicos de electricidad. Es f\u00e1cil ver que mayores reducciones de demanda y cargos por demanda m\u00e1s altos podr\u00edan generar grandes ahorros. Despu\u00e9s de revisar la estructura de tarifas y el historial de facturaci\u00f3n, se debe desarrollar un perfil gr\u00e1fico detallado del uso de la instalaci\u00f3n durante per\u00edodos de funcionamiento t\u00edpicos de 24 horas.<\/p><p>El perfil se puede crear a partir de datos registrados de kW y kVA y de datos de factor de potencia y var calculados o registrados. Estos datos se obtienen a partir de un monitoreo in situ durante varios per\u00edodos de 24 horas. Algunas empresas de servicios p\u00fablicos est\u00e1n preparadas para proporcionar estos datos.
