Esto requiere el uso de la caracter\u00edstica de tiempo-corriente (TCC) del dispositivo, que se basa en el tipo de dispositivo espec\u00edfico, la clasificaci\u00f3n, los ajustes (si est\u00e1n disponibles) y el fabricante. Si recuerdo mis d\u00edas como fabricante de disyuntores, incluso el a\u00f1o en que se fabric\u00f3 el dispositivo es importante, ya que las TCC pueden cambiar con el tiempo.<\/p><p>La TCC del dispositivo utilizado en este ejemplo se ilustra en la figura. El eje horizontal est\u00e1 representado en amperios multiplicados por un factor de 10. Esto significa que el 10 A en el gr\u00e1fico se reescala para representar 10 A por 10, o 100 A, y el 100 representa 100 A por 10, o 1000 A, etc.<\/p><p>El eje vertical representa el tiempo en segundos. Cada eje emplea una escala logar\u00edtmica que no es lineal y se utiliza cuando se analiza una amplia gama de cantidades, como el tiempo y la corriente en este caso. En lugar de aumentar en incrementos iguales, cada intervalo, o d\u00e9cada como se lo conoce, aumenta en un factor de 10.<\/p><h2>Conceptos b\u00e1sicos de TCC<\/h2><p><img fetchpriority=\"high\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignleft wp-image-21088 size-medium\" src=\"https:\/\/brainfiller.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/06\/Figure-1-225x300.jpg\" alt=\"Figure 1 - TCC basics\" width=\"225\" height=\"300\" \/>La TCC de un disyuntor tendr\u00e1 al menos dos partes distintas. La banda superior izquierda se conoce com\u00fanmente como regi\u00f3n de sobrecarga o retardo de tiempo. Puede ser un elemento t\u00e9rmico o un elemento electr\u00f3nico o digital. La curva inclinada se conoce com\u00fanmente como caracter\u00edstica de &quot;tiempo inverso&quot; porque la corriente y el tiempo son inversos entre s\u00ed. Cuanto m\u00e1s corriente fluya a trav\u00e9s del dispositivo, menos tiempo tardar\u00e1 en funcionar. La banda, o el grosor, se basa en el tiempo de funcionamiento y de liberaci\u00f3n, as\u00ed como en la tolerancia del fabricante.<\/p><p>La parte horizontal del TCC en la parte inferior derecha representa el tiempo que tarda en dispararse instant\u00e1neamente, lo que significa que no hay demora intencional. El grosor de la banda instant\u00e1nea representa el tiempo que tarda el dispositivo en abrirse y eliminar la falla, que en este caso es un ciclo el\u00e9ctrico o 0,0167 segundos. Algunos dispositivos pueden tardar varios ciclos en dispararse instant\u00e1neamente.<\/p><p>La banda vertical en el medio es el punto de transici\u00f3n entre sobrecarga y operaci\u00f3n instant\u00e1nea, com\u00fanmente llamada ajuste de disparo instant\u00e1neo. Si la corriente cae a la izquierda de la banda, el dispositivo opera en la regi\u00f3n de retardo de tiempo. Si cae a la derecha, entonces se dispara instant\u00e1neamente. Si la corriente cae en el medio de la banda, no se sabe qu\u00e9 elemento funcionar\u00e1; aunque existe un valor de corriente espec\u00edfico para la transici\u00f3n de sobrecarga a instant\u00e1neo, tambi\u00e9n hay una tolerancia m\u00e1s\/menos, por lo que el punto real est\u00e1 en alg\u00fan lugar dentro de la banda. Si la corriente de arco cae dentro de la banda, el peor de los casos supone que podr\u00eda dispararse en la regi\u00f3n de sobrecarga, lo que resulta en un retraso de tiempo significativo.<\/p><h2>Duraci\u00f3n del arco y TCC<\/h2><p>Para determinar cu\u00e1nto tiempo debe tardar un dispositivo en funcionar con una corriente espec\u00edfica, se ubica la corriente en el eje horizontal y se traza una l\u00ednea hacia arriba hasta que intersecta la parte superior de la curva. Mirando hacia la izquierda se indica el tiempo correspondiente.<\/p><p>El gr\u00e1fico que se muestra representa el TCC del disyuntor de 225 A utilizado en nuestro ejemplo. Est\u00e1 ubicado aguas arriba del panel en estudio y es el dispositivo que deber\u00eda disparar y eliminar el arco el\u00e9ctrico.<\/p><p>La segunda parte de esta serie, \u201cC\u00e1lculo de una corriente de falla de arco\u201d, proporcion\u00f3 la corriente de falla de arco calculada de 23 010 A o 23,01 kA. Se utilizaron condiciones espec\u00edficas, como una separaci\u00f3n de barra de 1 pulgada y orientaci\u00f3n de electrodo VCCB. Esta corriente est\u00e1 etiquetada en la parte instant\u00e1nea de la TCC hacia la parte inferior derecha del gr\u00e1fico. Trazar una l\u00ednea en este valor hasta la parte superior de la TCC y luego trazar una l\u00ednea hacia la izquierda para determinar la duraci\u00f3n indica que el dispositivo deber\u00eda dispararse en 0,0167 segundos o un ciclo el\u00e9ctrico. Este valor se utiliza como duraci\u00f3n del arco y parte del c\u00e1lculo de energ\u00eda incidente en una parte posterior de esta serie.<\/p><p>Al realizar un estudio de arco el\u00e9ctrico, podr\u00eda surgir un problema si la corriente de arco es demasiado baja y pasa dentro o hacia la izquierda de la banda vertical. Esto indicar\u00eda que el dispositivo opera en la regi\u00f3n de retardo de tiempo que aumentar\u00eda en gran medida la duraci\u00f3n del arco y la energ\u00eda incidente resultante.
