Do you think 480V receptacles should have an arc flash warning label?

• It depends

It depends on the connected equipment. Even though the equipment can be changed because it is cord and plug connected most situations have mounted machinary. In the case of mounted machinary I would label the equipment if it would be accessed while energized. I would not label equipment that doesn't have the need to be worked on such as a welder unless it is large and used in conjunction with other equipment that might require troubleshooting while energized.

It depends where in the circuit is the receptacle. If the short circuit current at the device is high and an arc can form the it should be labled.
