Since the main focus of arc flash protection is protection from serious burn injury, this week’s question is about just that: Burn injury.
First degree burns usually result in skin that is mostly red and puffy (and hurts) but let’s go beyond that.
Second degree/partial thickness and third degree/full thickness burns are significantly more serious.
This week’s question is about burn injury from ANY source not just from an arc flash:
Have you ever received a second or third degree burn? Second Degree/Partial Thickness Third Degree/Full Thickness Neither
Of course, this is one that could result in a good story or two so please pass yours along. How bad was it, what was the cause, recovery etc.

Should have read the question completely. Back in junior high school a very long time ago, I was in shop class, and instead of picking up my welding mask after replacing a welding rod, I grabbed the piece of metal I was welding.
Left a nice blister on the palm of my hand.
