Had a coworker in 1985 open a starter can to reset a starter, starter blew up and he caught the blast in the face. 1st degree burns everywhere his hard hat and safety glasses were not covering. Also lost his eyebrows. They grew back.
Turns out an operator jammed a stick in the start button because he got tired of having to push start when the motor overload tripped
