Is there a requirement if that the face sheild has to be tinted or clear?

I don't think there is a specific requirement, other than it has to be arc rated. However, I would want it tinted for sight preservation, along with being able to distinguish colors.

I’m not completely sure, but I think it depends on the specific rules or safety guidelines being followed. In many cases, both tinted and clear face shields are allowed as long as they provide proper protection and visibility. It might be best to check the official requirements to be certain.

My "Cat 2" face shield is clear. My "Cat 4" shield is tinted.

I have a cat 4 face shield that's "tinted" gray. I don't think there's a specific requirement.
