IEEE PCIC Conference – Prize Paper
It is quite an honor to receive the PCIC Prize Paper Award – 3rd Best at the IEEE PCIC Conference held in Orlando.
This is for the paper “Arc Flash Calculations: DGUV-I 203-077 VS. IEEE 1584”
It is quite a privilege and honor to work with my colleagues and good friends: Albert Marroquin, Mike Frain (not pictured) and Jose Macias as co-authors. The four of us presented the paper at the 2023 PCIC Conference.
The paper explores why there are two incompatible arc flash calculation methods and provides a detailed comparison of DGUV-I 203-077 and IEEE 1584 and really attracted attention about a second calculation method that was widely unknown to the IEEE group (but not anymore!)
