Jim, you are without any doubt, the best electrical trainer that I have ever listened to – and I’ve been in the safety profession for 40 years. I want you to keep up the excellent work and there are those of us that get excited when you conduct training.

Thanks!

Jim –

This stuff is awesome. Thanks for explaining it so well. I am now able to select breakers and settings for both sides of a transformer, and verify that they will both not trip when energizing the transformer AND protect the transformer once energized. You’ll see there is a bit of mis-coordination, but that is because I am limited to the type of breaker that can be the main on the downstream panel. No problem, the transformer is the only thing effected by the mis-coordination anyway, and it doesn’t care.

Great class, thanks again.

Good day Mr Jim, hope everything is going well, the purpose of the email is to congratulate you on your 40th anniversary in electrical engineering, a few years ago contact you by email and bought one of your books on electric hazard calculations, which I enjoyed and have me interested in this topic where in our faculty was not offered at that time, so I created this topic as a new subject for the master degree programme. I recently read your interview for your 40 years trajectory, and your three simple rules are the ones I always apply:

  • Always do your best – no matter what. Do NOT cut corners, it will catch up with you.
  • Always maintain your integrity. Too many want to “sell their soul” to get ahead.
  • Always be honest. I have many competitors that will say whatever it takes. It doesn’t take long to figure out where the truth is – and it catches up with them.

Congratulations once again for your trajectory and for your contribution to electric hazard calculations standards.

Thank you very much, Brenda!

And THANK YOU to all brainfiller team for a great training course. Excellent presentation, organization, and energy!

Jim’s sessions were extremely informative, filled with examples and valuable insights on Electrical Power Systems.

Thank you for sharing your knowledge!

Hi Jim,

Hope that you had some sleep over the weekend, I wanted to congratulate you on a well presented and engaging Brisbane Arc Flash workshop, not an easy task considering that you delivered it remotely. I did enjoy it and learned a lot, especially the background of it all.

Also, we have a common colleague, as you can see we are the Australian representatives of ETAP and the “ETAP Arc Flash Man” is Albert Marroquin (yes I have read the IEEE 1584 Guide you both co-authored).

Stay safe and look forward to next time I have the opportunity to attend one of your presentations.

Hi Jim,

Thank you and thanks for a great class!! The class was extremely helpful and your stories/examples were great!! This was my second course with you and both were an equally great experience. I look forward to taking more in the future.

Hi Jim,

It was a great experience to attend your course and I was very inspired to meet you personally and learn from your tremendous experience. Although, I have my EIT in second week of April, I am planning if I can make to your Arc Flash Class which is very important for me. If the schedule is not too congested, I ll let our HR/Accounts contact Brenda like before.

Once again, thank you so much for your teachings. It is one of the most precious class I have taken in my life.

I honestly have not had a more comprehensive training than this one. What makes this much more valuable are your real world experiences that are appropriately interspersed in the course of the training. This training is so comprehensive that I feel I need to go back to some sections as there is simply a lot of information that is difficult to remember.

This is truly an excellent course - well structured, well presented and well supported by documented tests.

Jim,

A simple thank you is pale in comparison to the time, energy, wisdom, and effort I know you gave to the 1584 update. But THANK YOU!!

I also admire the contributions you continually make in educating stakeholders in electrical safety.

Keep leading!!
