The worksheets are designed to assist in manual arc flash calculations and are not intended as a replacement for the IEEE 1584 or NFPA 70E Standards or any other standards. The user must still comply with the requirements of these standards which contain additional details not shown here. The user should obtain a complete copy of the most current edition of both IEEE 1584 and NFPA 70E.

It is assumed the user already has an understanding of arc flash calculations and related standards. The guide contains worksheets for estimating arcing short circuit current, calculating the incident energy and calculating the arc flash boundary.
