As Chair of International Electrotechnical Commission IEC TC78 Live Working Committee, Jim Phillips was honored and privileged to be invited as the opening speaker for the 2024 Live Working Technology Conference held in Shenyang, China.
This three-day event was in celebration of the 70th anniversary of Live Working in China. Jim’s opening remarks provided an overview of IEC TC78 Live Working Standards and the National Committee of China’s continued contributions to the standardization process which began in 1978.
IEC TC78 is responsible for over 40 different Live Working Standards represented by technical experts from more than 40 different countries. It is always a privilege to welcome the delegation from the National Committee of China to each IEC TC78 Plenary meeting. Jim is looking forward to greeting them once again this fall in Lyon, France.
The International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC) involves around 170 countries, and about 30 000 experts worldwide.
Congratulations China on your 70th Anniversary Celebration!
